A2iA Corporation
Paris-based A2iA combined its OCR, intelligent word and handwriting recognition technologies with artificial intelligence and neural network systems to develop software solutions for the financial and insurance industries. Blodgett’s PR program launched A2iA into the U.S. market and handled all of their North American marketing communications efforts.
AimTech (acquired by Click2Learn, now SumTotal Systems)
AimTech specialized in multimedia authoring tools and was responsible for placing info-kiosks in South African homelands and townships to educate black South Africans about how to vote in South Africa for the first time. Its highly successful media relations campaign led to extensive exposure in Africa, Europe and the U.S., as well as a major award for its communications strategy.
BlogHer
As an advisory board member for BlogHer, the first blogging conference for women, Blodgett was involved in the launch of the event, media relations and recruiting corporate and media sponsors. BlogHer is a network of women bloggers to draw on for exposure, education and community. It has created an opportunity for greater visibility, learning and success for individual women bloggers and for the community of bloggers as a whole.
Computerworld
The main focus for this IDG publication, was to publicize leading editorial features and position Computerworld editors as experts on hot industry trends in the business and broadcast media. This successful media relations campaign led to hundreds of TV, radio and business press interviews worldwide.
Computerworld Smithsonian Awards (CWSA)
Worldwide press coverage for this joint effort sponsored by Computerworld, IDG and the Smithsonian Institution, exceeded hundreds of hits including USA Today, CNN, Wall Street Journal, NY Times, BusinessWeek and all three major networks. CWSA honored individuals and companies for their innovative use of technology across ten industry sectors.
Cozmo Media
Cozmo Media has created an Internet-based television network called CozmoTV that enables anyone to create personalized channels of streamed video from sites like YouTube, Blip.tv, and Justin.tv and add these and other CozmoTV channels to their own customized TV networks. They can embed these networks in any website, blog, or social network. CozmoTV taps into the power of the community to help people find high quality video content that is both compelling and relevant.
DigiPortal
Blodgett’s communications campaign for this anti-spam client included marketing writing, media & analyst relations, and event management, for flagship product ChoiceMail, as well as a server based offering for the Enterprise market. ChoiceMail is an innovative spam blocking solution, which has received critical acclaim for its ability to reduce junk email to zero.
Dragon Systems (acquired, now under the Nuance umbrella of products)
A successful launch of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, the world’s first continuous speech recognition product, led to a Software Marketing Excellence Award for Best Marketing Strategy. It also resulted in Dragon Systems’ move to the 7th largest software publisher in the U.S. Press coverage increased by over 380% in the first year of its launch, which was instrumental in Dragon’s aggressive move into the retail space against major competitor IBM. Blodgett also managed two delayed IPOs, and an acquisition to Lernout & Hauspie, which was acquired by ScanSoft, now Nuance.
eSnips
eSnips is the social sharing site where like-minded members can share any digital content showcasing their talents, interests, and passions with whoever they choose from one place. eSnips imitates what people do and how they live in the ‘real world.’ It is targeted to mainstream users who do not necessarily blog, have the time and interest to update files everyday, or join several sites in order to share all of their passions. eSnips appeals to that mainstream as it fills a big gap between the teen-oriented social networks and the impersonalized vertical sharing sites.
Ezenia
This PR program involved high level corporate marketing consulting and message development around the Company’s repositioning from the video conferencing industry to one that delivered secure online virtual workspaces, accessible from anywhere.
Five Across (acquired by Cisco)
Five Across’ tagline was turning the web into a conversation. Its Bubbler drag-and-drop publishing tool combines the power of blogs and websites for small and medium sized businesses as well as for individuals. Blodgett worked closely with Marketing and Engineering teams to re-develop and refine their messaging through this important industry transition in the marketplace. The program included a viral marketing approach, which included extensive speaking engagements, blogger relations, sponsorships and networking events.
International Data Group (IDG)
For this giant high technology publishing empire, PR efforts involved broadcast and business media relations for CEO and Founder Patrick McGovern and other key IDG executives.

Blodgett managed introNetworks launch activities around DEMO@15, which included messaging and positioning, press materials, and media, analyst and blogger relations. With an introNetworks System, you can visually scan your online community to pinpoint valuable connections. introNetworks Systems are used at conferences, conventions, trade shows, corporate meetings and associations.
iUpload
Blodgett was brought on board to help bridge iUpload’s transition from a well known content management player to a company that redefines the way content is managed and viewed in organizations. By combining its winning content management suite with its customized corporate blogging tool, iUpload offers customers a unique and more effective alternative to more traditional solutions, that extends the customer’s marketing reach and builds communities around their brand. Blodgett worked closely with management on corporate and product messaging and positioning, as well as for a major launch at DEMO.
Jingle Networks (1-800-FREE411)
Blodgett launched Jingle Network’s FREE411 service at a DEMO conference and managed a complete PR campaign pre and post launch. Using the FREE411 service, merchants can advertise their business to thousands (or millions) of local consumers who are looking for the types of goods and services that they sell. Advertisers only pay when those interested customers contact their business via the telephone and consumers win since they no longer need to pay for 411 to get the information they need, when they need it. Media coverage was extensive in the first year, including executive segments on TV stations around the country.
KnowNow
Blodgett’s work with KnowNow revolved around messaging, positioning and branding of the KnowNow name and its services, particularly in the Enterprise RSS space. Viral marketing, event management and key influencer outreach is a strategic part of the PR program including blogs. KnowNow 3 Enterprise Syndication Solution (ESS™) is a scaleable enterprise RSS aggregator that delivers relevant and actionable communications to desktops, automatically updating channels that improve information flow to employees, customers and business partners.
LeapTag
LeapTag combines the power of content discovery and news aggregation into a platform that allows people to receive personalized information around their interests and passions. A hybrid application, LeapTag allows users to define the things they are interested in using tagging. For each interest a user creates a tag for, LeapTag produces results that include news and blogs, and books. Even the ads they see will be relevant to their interest and users can actually vote on them.
Kurzweil Technologies
Blodgett worked closely with Ray Kurzweil and team on the launch of new book The Singularity is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology. A key and integral part of this program revolved around the blogosphere, and other key influencers in the areas of future innovation, technology, nano-technology, and bio-sciences. Mission Research
Targeted to the SOHO market, their flagship product SalesWorks, is a contact management software solution that enables small businesses to manage sales and sales processes, contact interactions, mailings and highly targeted customer segmentation easily. Mission Research embraces sustainable business practices for the SOHO market and non-profit sector. The PR program concentrated on a combination of traditional media outreach, viral buzz and reaching out to small businesses with promotional value-add ideas.
NewsGator Technologies
NewsGator is a news aggregator, which allows users to subscribe to various syndicated news feeds (such as blogs, news sites, etc), and have news delivered to their Microsoft Outlook email folders, their web browser or their mobile wireless device. Blodgett’s champion PR program, which included national media and blog coverage and two rounds of VC funding, brought a one man start-up to a known entity and market leader in its category.
Novell Corporation
For Novell’s Business Application Group, PR efforts involved national media outreach for their PerfectOffice Suite (which competed with Microsoft Office), and the PerfectFit Partners Initiative, which was Novell’s developer relations network at the time. Key activities also included numerous product launches, press tours, managing press reviews in trade and vertical market publications, and event management for the consumer software division leading up to and following the launch of Novell PerfectHome.
Nynex International (merged with Bell Atlantic, now Verizon)
Highlights included the development and execution of a VIP strategic networking program for NYNEX at Switzerland-based Telecom, a leading telecommunications conference. The program included messaging for and driving strategic meetings with key Telco ministers from Eastern, Central and Northern Europe, the former Soviet Union, Scandinavia, Japan and Korea and managing media relations on the ground in Europe.
Octave Communications (acquired by Voyant)
With major deployments worldwide, Octave’s audio conference systems enabled wireless carriers and service providers to deliver dynamic instant group communications solutions that leveraged VoIP conferencing, mobility and speech recognition. Blodgett provided communications strategy around product launches and events and worked closely with management to expand their media and analyst outreach worldwide.
Orb Audio
Blodgett’s PR efforts around the launch of Orb Audio’s antique brushed copper speaker systems, included media and blog outreach, messaging and positioning and press material creation. Known for their superior style, compact size, high quality sound and performance satellite and subwoofer speaker sets, Orb sells direct to consumers to avoid middle man mark-ups, that increase the cost of speakers without increasing the quality.
PC World
Client work for this IDG-owned computer publication included all corporate public relations, event management and broadcast media relations for PC World’s editors and executives.

Retrevo is a leading consumer electronics search that provides the most in-depth analysis and discovery engine in the market today. It provides consumers with recommendations on what to buy. The team is passionate about electronic gadgets and provides a simple and effective way to help consumers find what they are looking for online.
Rhetorical Systems (acquired by ScanSoft, now Nuance)
For this Scotland-based text-to-speech company, Blodgett handled strategic positioning, marketing and public relations for corporate, partner, customer and product announcements in the U.S. The communications program included press tour development, speaking opportunities, corporate messaging and positioning, trade show management and partner, media & analyst relations.
SatelLife
Public relations activities included media outreach for this not-for-profit Massachusetts-based organization that transmitted medical data via satellite to third world countries. The main launch included an international roundtable, which drew respected leaders from Africa and Asia, as well as broadcast, trade and business press from around the world.
Sharpcast
Blodgett successfully launched Sharpcast from early private beta stage through to its commercial release, which included a launch at DEMO and on the prestigious Wall Street Journal D Conference stage. Sharpcast makes software and services that keep user's PCs, the web and their mobile phones perfectly in sync. Users can use Sharpcast for automatic seamless recovery and migration of all of their media. Sharpcast started with a photo sharing solution and extended their service to other applications. Through concerted PR efforts, Sharpcast won close to ten awards in a year, including accolades from Supernova, Red Herring, Web 2.0 Launchpad, Best of Digital Life, and Laptop Magazine Editor's Choice.
SPG
Client experience included all media relations and event management for this trade show arm that managed Y2K 2000 conferences. Blodgett directed joint marketing activities for exhibiting companies and partners in the enterprise software space and positioned industry gurus and analysts on speaking panels and in articles in major business publications.
Spock
Blodgett worked closely with Spock's founders and management team to launch Spock, a unique people search engine, from private beta to its commercial launch. While still in private beta, assertive PR efforts led to numerous top-tier influencer meetings as well as media kudos in BusinessWeek, the Financial Times, TechCrunch, CNET, PC World and many others. Spock also received a number of industry accolades and honors even before the product went public.

Sway, Inc. is a leading social media marketing company that executes highly targeted online marketing campaigns using Web 2.0 marketing tools such as HTML email, podcasts, Really Simple Syndication (RSS) and mobile phone text messaging (SMS). Sway's proprietary online tools help companies reach their target audiences, distribute content and measure results online. Blodgett launched Teleo, a next-generation VoIP solution into the market.with Revell-Pechar, Inc. A complete PR program included messaging and positioning, speaking engagements, media and analyst relations, and event and collateral management, which included marketing & communications consulting and planning for major industry conferences, such as CES, DEMO, CTIA, VON and others.
Toktumi
Toktumi is a revolutionary new kind of office phone service, that upon launch, will be targeted to the small to medium business market. It will be designed for business people who want big company phone features without the hassle of a typical office phone system.
VideoEgg
VideoEgg’s solutions make Internet video publishing simple by empowering communities across the web to easily capture, edit, and publish video without having to deal with the technical complexities that plague people today. Blodgett launched its flagship product, VideoEgg Publisher, which is a small website plug-in that makes it easy for end-users to capture, edit, encode, and post digital video online. A "universal adapter" that captures directly from hundreds of devices and reads dozens of formats, the VideoEgg Publisher allows internet users to painlessly publish video in a format that anyone can watch without worrying about player compatibilities, encoding settings, or extra software.
Voice Signal Technologies (acquired by Nuance)
Blodgett provided strategic consulting for all communications efforts for this privately held company that embeds speech recognition solutions on mobile wireless devices and electronic entertainment products. Blodgett managed global media and analyst relations, speaking opportunities, trade shows and collateral, press tours, and VIP relationships at multiple levels, including press, analysts, investors, partners and key players in the speech community.
WordPerfect (now part of Corel’s product offerings)
Communications strategy and tactics involved significant media and analyst outreach for the WordPerfect Business Application Group and the WordPerfect Consumer Software Division. (Main Street Software Line, which was later renamed PerfectHome after the Novell acquisition). Product reviews, messaging and event management was also an integral part of the PR program.
Xitel
Blodgett managed Australian-based Xitel's launch of HiFi-Link, Pro HiFi-Link, INport, MD-Port and SOUNDaround into the U.S. market. A market leader in precision audio and home theater technology, Xitel's offerings give users a rich and vibrant audio experience on their computers and TVs. The marketing and PR goal was to build brand awareness, open up new retail channels in the U.S., and secure national media coverage, which included CNN, WSJ, CNET, ZNET, NY Times, USA Today, Popular Science, Engadget, Rolling Stone, among others.
